What motivates me to be a strong advocate for my clients is simply just wanting to do my best for others. For a large part of my college, law school, and early years in the legal field, I aimed for non-profit work because I wanted to help people. This drive naturally poured over into debt-settlement. Rarely do people approach professionals in the legal field happily; however, that means it is rewarding if you are successful in putting a smile on their faces.
If I had to recommend or provide professional insight to anyone, I think one of the most important things is to remember that we are dealing with people, not just numbers. We should remember these are people with real problems, and we should be flexible with our services by adapting to each person accordingly. There is not a one-size fits all. Humanize the people and ask yourself: “What if I was in this situation, what would I want my advocate to do for me?”
I attended the University of Kansas School of Law and am licensed in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, and Wisconsin.
Outside of work, I enjoy time with my family and traveling with them, specifically to museums and archives. We are a family of cat lovers and do what we can for local shelters. I love tabletop games as well as swimming to wind down.
