The copyright division of The Law Firm of Higbee & Associates celebrated its 10th anniversary today. The division, launched in 2014, represents a wide range of copyright holders and assists with copyright registration, enforcement, contract negotiation, and business management.

“Thank you to the artists, agencies, and publishers who trust us to help protect their work.  Thank you to employees past and present who helped us recover nearly $100 million for those whose work plays an important part in our society,” said founding attorney Mathew Higbee.

The law firm’s highlights include winning numerous appeals, a $1.1 million jury verdict on a single image case, helping negotiate multi-national licensing agreements, registering tens of thousands of photos with the US Copyright Office, and building long-lasting relationships with hundreds of clients.

The law firm represents a wide range of copyright holders.  “We proudly represent everyone from the hobbyist to the largest news agencies in the world,” said attorney Naomi Sarega, who joined the firm in 2014.

Higbee & Associates was founded in 2006.  It employs nearly 150 people and has its headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The law firm is licensed to practice law in 49 states.
