Dorothy Moneymaker

Supervising compliance attorney Dorothy Moneymaker joined the Consumer Advocacy division with more than 20 experience practicing law. Ms. Moneymaker graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA before going on to graduate cum laude and earn her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School Los Angeles. During law school, she completed a Judicial Externship for United States Bankruptcy Judge Ellen Carroll and earned the American Jurisprudence Award in Bankruptcy. After graduating from law school, Ms. Moneymaker joined the mass tort and product liability division of a prominent Orange County civil litigation firm where she was instrumental in consumer victories against Fortune 500 pharmaceutical companies. Ms. Moneymaker went on to be a founding partner in a boutique estate planning, trust administration, and trust litigation firm representing trustees, executors, administrators, beneficiaries and potential heirs, both in and out of court. Ms. Moneymaker also has extensive experience handling complex business litigation and real estate litigation matters. Through a strategic approach to litigation and her empathetic counsel in estate planning, she developed a reputation for a results-driven approach to problem solving with a meticulous attention to detail. As a passionate advocate for maintaining the highest standards in legal education, in her spare time Ms. Moneymaker has personally prepared more than 10,000 law school candidates for the Law School Admission Test.
A longtime member of the San Onofre Surf Club, Ms. Moneymaker enjoys surfing, traveling and rooting for Pacific Tigers water polo.
